Have you read the book "The Help" ? I know they made a movie, but the characters are so much more complex in a book. There's a whole lot of interesting people and ingrained reactions and it all takes place in the South. It might transport you to a hot and humid frame of mind. xxx

Have ordered "The Help" this morning- it looks like a fascinating read. It is funny but I had been (daydreaming) and thinking about Louisiana - the heat, the people, the food and music and the wonderful Spanish moss which grows on all the trees. It is exciting to become wrapped in a good story so thank you for recommending it.
